arrest white male Deltona, FL - A Deltona man has been arrested after he brought a 14-year-old runaway to his house, propositioned her for sex, then stripped off all his clothes. 52-year-old William Webb of 1304 Comerwood Drive in Deltona was arrested around 12:35 PM on Wednesday. He initially refused to open his door, but members of the Volusia County Sheriff's Office Street Crimes Unit breached and took him into custody. The victim was a 14-year-old girl who ran away from the Florida United Methodist Children's Home in Enterprise on Monday. She told investigators that she met Webb and a woman at a gas station in Deltona and they agreed to let her stay at their house. The woman dropped Webb and the girl at 1304 Comerwood and then left. The girl says once they were inside the house Webb tried to pressure her into performing sex acts. He said "nothing is free" and it would "cost" her to stay with him, according to the VCSO press release. When the girl tried to leave the house, Webb blocked the door and wouldn't let her leave. The girl told investigators that Webb then stripped naked and started masturbating in front of her. She claims he said he would take her into a back room and sexually assault her. He then started making phone calls and sending texts, claiming he was going to sell her, per the report. Webb fell asleep around 4 AM and the girl ran outside where she found a VCSO patrol car. Deputies tried to contact Webb but no one answered the door and all the lights were off. They returned with a warrant on Wednesday and arrested him. Webb is being held at the Volusia County Branch Jail without bail on felony charges of lewd or lascivious conduct, lewd or lascivious exhibition, and false imprisonment. VCSO wants anyone with information on similar incidents or any other potential victims to contact the Sheriff's Office Child Exploitation Unit at 386-323-3574. webb mug
