Deltona Family Dollar Robbed At Gunpoint

Deltona, FL-Deputies say two armed suspects robbed a Deltona Family Dollar store at gunpoint last night. During the robbery, a 55-year-old clerk was shoved to the floor. The robbery happened around 9:30 Tuesday night at the store on Elkcam Boulevard. Witnesses told deputies the two men were wearing masks during the crime. One stood look-out by the door to the store and the other pointed a weapon at the clerk and shoved her to the floor. She had a minor injury to her leg. Deputies say she complied when ordered to open the registers for the suspects. Deputies say another clerk was on the floor during the crime. The suspects got away with an undisclosed amount of money and were last seen running north along Elkcam Boulevard. A search by deputies, K-9 teams and the VCSO helicopter came up empty. A VCSO release described one suspect as approximately 6’ tall and between 150-180 pounds, wearing black pants, a dark blue jacket with a red hood and black shoes. The other suspect was described as approximately 5’9” tall and between 180-200 pounds, wearing black pants, a grey shirt with a black, long-sleeved shirt underneath and black shoes.
