DeLeon Springs, FL - An 89-year-old DeLeon Springs man died early Monday when he touched a live power line in the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew. The line was reported live and arcing and had started a small fire behind the man's home in the 6000 block of S.R. 11. The line was reported to VCSO just before 8 AM. Minutes later a second call came in about the man who was dead on the ground. The victim is identified as Marshall Bailey. "We've got a lot of power lines down from this storm," said Andrew Gant, VCSO Public Information Officer. "We're really trying to get the message out to people that you should stay away from them. Absolutely don't touch them. Sadly, this is what can happen." VCSO continues to investigate. 2016 Southern Stone Communications Copyright
