DeLand, FL-The City of DeLand is sending out 1500 surveys to citizens to find out what they think about quality of life there and get input on what the future should look like. City spokesman Chris Graham says this quality of life survey has been developed with the National Research Center in Colorado and, when the results are complete, DeLand will be able to compare those with other similar cities around the nation. Graham says that element makes this survey very different from previous surveys done with Stetson University. The survey will also be available to be taken online in January for people who don't get one in the mail. Graham says the survey will be used by city leaders to assist in strategic planning in 2017. The survey began going out to residents on November 28. Photo credit Peter Titmuss/Shutterstock. 2016 Southern Stone Communications Copyright
