Daytona Beach, FL - Another Republican candidate has emerged to try to unseat Daytona Beach Democrat Patrick Henry from his position in the Florida House of Representatives.

DeLand Republican Elizabeth Fetterhoff opened a campaign account yesterday to run in Volusia County’s House District 26, according to the state Division of Elections website.

Fetterhoff joined Henry, Democrat Percy Lee Williamson, Republican Michael Cantu and Libertarian Kyle Baker in taking the initial step in running for the seat.

Henry - who is the brother of Daytona Beach Mayor Derrick Henry and Daytona Beach City Commissioner Dannette Henry - had raised $15,500 for his re-election bid as of April 30, a finance report shows.

Henry and Williamson will face off in the Democrat primary election on August 28th, while Fetterhoff and Cantu will do likewise in the GOP primary on that same date.

Prior to his election in 2016, Patrick Henry was on the Daytona Beach City Commission. He defeated Cantu 52% to 47%.
