DeLand Police Investigating Christmas Day Shooting

DeLand, FL - Investigators want to know who pulled the trigger in a Christmas Day shooting in Southwest DeLand.

No injuries were reported after several shots rang out around 12:15 that morning (December 25th) at a home on Valleydale Avenue, according to a DeLand Police Department report. That's in the Candlelight Oaks subdivision.

Officers tell us a woman living in a home on the 900 block heard the shots and let them know about it.

Police believe a dark-colored vehicle pulled up outside that woman's home and someone inside fired at people standing on a driveway. Those people weren't very cooperative with investigators, per DeLand PD, but officers did find a bullet hole in a vehicle nearby.

No other details have been released by DeLand PD.
