DeLand Police Department: 18-Year-Old Man Injured In Overnight Shooting

DeLand, FLUpdate: The DeLand Police Department now says the man who suffered a gunshot wound to the leg in a Sunday night shooting that happened on the 700 block of W. Hubbard Ave. was 18 years old, not 17 as originally stated.

Police are continuing to investigate. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact the DeLand Police Department at 386-626-7400 or submit an anonymous tip at delandpd.com.

Earlier Reporting: 

A 17-year-old boy suffered a gunshot wound to the leg in a Sunday night shooting that happened on the 700 block of W. Hubbard Ave.

The boy was taken to an area hospital as a trauma alert. The DeLand Police Department is investigating.

Officials say more information will be released when it becomes available.
