DeLand, FL - The Volusia County Sheriff's Office is reporting that 48-year-old Wade McKeehan, of DeLand, turned himself in today on a warrant that was issued Friday. The charges all relate to child pornography.
McKeehan is facing 57 charges, to include possession of photos and video images portraying sexual performance by a child. He turned himself in at about 2 a.m.
Detectives with the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office’s Child Exploitation Unit began their investigation into McKeehan in December 2018. VCSO and the ICE-Brevard-Volusia Child Exploitation Task Force executed a search warrant at his home on March 20. Investigators seized McKeehan's electronics and found 25,529 images and videos. The images portrayed male and female children between ages 1 and 13 in sexually explicit situations.
McKeehan is in the Volusia County Branch Jail where he'll remain held on no bail allowed until his first appearance before a judge.
