DeLand Gas Station Robbed At Gunpoint Twice In Less Than 24 Hours

gunpoint DeLand, FL - A gas station in DeLand was robbed at gunpoint for the second time in less than 24 hours. Monday night's robbery at DeLand Gas & Food, at 702 S. Spring Garden Ave., happened around 7:22. One suspect came into the store and made a small cash purchase then left heading north. 30 seconds later, a 2nd suspect came in from the same direction and pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money. No one was hurt during the robbery, but the suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. The 1st suspect in this robbery has been described as a black man and he was wearing a black shirt, black pants, and a gold chain. The armed suspect was wearing a gray hoodie with black letters, a black ski mask, white gloves, black pants, black shoes with white soles, and a white undershirt. "This is the second robbery at this particular business in 2 days," said Andrew Gant, VCSO Spokesman. "Whether there is any connection between this and the previous robbery on Sunday night remains to be seen." VCSO is investigating possible connections with the robbery that happened the night before at the same Gas & Food, and other recent robberies. VCSO says the pair are also the suspects in last weeks armed robbery at a Kangaroo gas station in DeBary. Earlier reporting on that story can be found here. The investigation is ongoing.
