DeLand, FL - DeLand's City Hall will partially reopen today after a lightning strike on Friday damaged the building's air conditioning system.

Crews were working over the weekend to restore the A/C and will continue to do so until it's fixed, according to city spokesman Chris Graham.

"Until the system is fixed, the city is planning to bring portable units to City Hall," Graham added. "We apologize for any inconvenience."

The first floor - which includes utility billing - is expected to open at noon. The second and third floors will remain closed until tomorrow. Utility bills due today and tomorrow have been extended until 8 a.m. Wednesday.
