Daytona Beach, FL - A man was arrested in Daytona Beach after police say he made a fake 9-1-1 report about an armed robbery and later admitted to police that he took the money from his employer, Sunglass Hut, because he was mad at the business. Police responded to reports of an armed robbery at around 9:43 PM on Wednesday at the Regions Bank on 100 Corsair Dr. in Daytona. 21-year-old Connor Lobianc told officers that he was making a nightly deposit of $715 at the bank for his employer, Sunglass Hut, when he was robbed by an armed black man with a goatee. According to arrest reports, Lobianc gave inconsistent reports of what happened and changed his story each time he stated what took place. Lobianc later admitted that he had the money in his truck. The money was concealed in a blue and white paper cup that was resting on the passenger's side door of Lobianc's truck. Lobianc said he made the false report and took the money because he was "angry" at Sunglass Hut. He is charged with making a false report of a non-existent crime and misuse of 9-1-1. He was held on a total of $1,000 bond.
