Daytona Beach, FL - Police are charging a man for robbing two people behind the News-Journal Center.

According to the report, the two victims were walking behind the News-Journal Center Wednesday night when they walked past 19-year-old Alphonso Peterman. The victims say when they stopped on the trail behind the performing arts center, Peterman approached them with a firearm.

Peterman then robbed them of four credit cards, $200 in cash, and both of their Florida driver's licenses.

Police then received a 911 call from the victims, describing the robber as a black male around 25 years old wearing a hoodie.

Later that night, police located Peterman on San Juan Avenue and stopped him. The victims would then identify him as the robber.

Peterman is being charged with felony robbery with a firearm and is currently being held without bond.

Peterman has also been charged for retail theft and resisting an officer without violence just this May.
