Daytona Beach, FL - A Daytona Beach man expected to meet with two teenage girls for sex and said he planned to kill the girls' mother, but he was met with an undercover officer instead, according to the Daytona Beach Police Department (DBPD). 29-year-old Vance Taylor, of Daytona Beach, was arrested on Thursday after he put out an online advertisement labeled, "Impregnate your daughter, sister, or wife" and responded to a woman who he thought was the mother of two girls, ages 13 and 14. Taylor agreed to meet the girls and perform sexual acts with them. The "mother" turned out to be an undercover officer. According to police reports, Taylor said in a message to the undercover officer that he planned to say be was "arranging a marriage" so that he was "protected by religion in case the messages got into the wrong hands." Taylor also mentioned that he didn't want to wind up on television. Taylor traveled to a location in Daytona Beach on Thursday where he arranged to meet the girls, and when he arrived, he was detained and arrested. He was taken to the Daytona Beach Police Department. According to arrest reports, Taylor stated that his intention was to kill the mother in order to take out his life frustrations on her. He also asked that he be charged with traveling to commit homicide as opposed to a sex offense because it would reflect better on him. Taylor is charged with soliciting a parent or guardian to engage in unlawful sexual conduct and traveling to meet a minor to engage in unlawful sexual conduct, according to DBPD. He was held on $60,000 bail. DBPD credits the arrest to DBPD’s Advanced Technology and Cyber Crimes Unit.
