Shriners Parade & Fireworks Show Shuts Down A1A

Daytona Beach, FL - The Shriners Parade will begin tomorrow night (July 17th) in Daytona Beach.

The parade will be led by the Daytona Beach Police Department, including Chief Craig Capri, and Fire Chief Dru Driscoll of the Daytona Beach Fire Department. Daytona Beach Shores Mayor Harry Jennings will serve as Grand Marshal.

The parade will take over one mile of Atlantic Avenue (A1A) beginning at Sun Splash Park on Silver Beach Avenue and ending at Seabreeze Boulevard.

Motorists can expect closures and traffic resulting from the parade.

According to DBPD, both the northbound and southbound lanes of Atlantic Avenue between Silver Beach and Seabreeze will be shut down around noon and will re-open around 11:00 p.m. that night.

Access to businesses and hotels on the east side of Atlantic will be accommodated as necessary until the parade starts at 7:00 p.m.

The closures will be in stages as the parade goes on.

Electronic signs will also be up with information regarding detours and closures.
