Daytona Beach, FL - Daytona Beach and Deltona are near the top of a list of American cities where renters are paying more for their monthly rent than they can afford, according to a study by Harvard's Joint Center for Housing Studies.
The Daytona Beach and Deltona areas had 57% of renters who were cost-burdened (paying more than 30% of their income to rent) in 2015, according to the study. That's tied with Los Angeles. Only Miami had a higher rate of cost-burdened renters, with nearly 62% using more of their paycheck for monthly rent than experts advise.
