Daytona State ISB Entrance To Close Temporarily For Student Center Construction

Posted

Daytona Beach, FL - The entrance to Daytona State College (DSC) at International Speedway Blvd. will be closed from April 16 until August 24 in order to make way for the construction of a new Student Center. According to DSC, there will be no east-west access on the south side of the campus between the building under construction and ISB. The college urges anyone coming to the college by way of ISB to use the White St. entrance off ISB near the DSC/UCF Hall (building 150) or off Heineman Street near the tennis courts. You can also use Highland Ave. off ISB (near Halifax Hospital). Campus officials remind everyone to drive cautiously around the college and to expect some congestion as the construction process goes underway. DSC safety officers will also be on hand to help direct students, staff, and visitors. You can find a map of the campus and alternative routes to get around the campus here. The new state-of-the-art, $39 million, 84,000 square foot Student Center is expected to open in the spring of 2019. Copyright Southern Stone Communications 2018.
