Daytona Beach, FL-Daytona Beach Police Chief Mike Chitwood nabbed a guy doing "burnouts"  Friday as most folks were hunkering down during Hurricane Matthew. Chitwood says he saw 20-year-old Brandon Ware of Minneola, FL. driving recklessly at a high rate of speed around 5:15 AM  in an area where several news reporters were stationed in the 700 block of South Atlantic Avenue. The area was under a curfew at the time.

The vehicle then went west toward ISB Bridge where, Chitwood says, he saw the vehicle do several "360 burnouts" at the base of the bridge.

Chitwood and a DBPD Lt. followed the vehicle until a traffic stop could be conducted. Ware is charged with reckless driving. At the time of his arrest, Ware was wearing a t-shirt that said, "F*** Speeding Tickets". News Daytona Beach has chosen not to directly quote the expletive. Ware posted $500 bond and was released from jail.
