Daytona Beach Man Steals Car, Crashes Into House

black male handcuffs Daytona Beach, FL-An overnight police chase in Daytona Beach ended when the stolen vehicle crashed into a home on Tomoka Road. 18-year-old Wayne Johnson allegedly stole the car and led the police on a chase after a traffic stop. According to the police report, the officer attempted to stop Johnson around 2:45 A.M. The officer caught up to Johnson when he found the 2001 Lincoln crashed into the house. Johnson tried to flee the area on foot, but the officer was able to take him into custody. One person, Toni Graves, was in the house. She suffered minor injuries. Graves and the owner of the home, Juliette Massey, are pressing charges of leaving the scene of an accident with injuries and property damage. Johnson told officers he found the keys to the car he stole on the street near the house it was parked at on Maplewood Drive. The owner, James Kotowicz, is pressing stolen vehicle charges against Johnson.
