Daytona Beach Man Shot & Killed In Parking Lot Of Orlando Waffle House

Orlando, FL - A Daytona Beach man was shot and killed during a fight outside of an Orlando Waffle House early Monday morning. The Orange County Sheriff's Office (OCSO) said that 23-year-old Herbert Johnson was fatally shot around 3 AM outside of the Waffle House at 11749 E. Colonial Dr. in Orlando. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Fire Rescue. Johnson was visiting the Orlando area for the weekend for a party and had ended up going to the Waffle House for breakfast. According to witnesses, an argument occurred between two separate groups outside the business. It is unknown at this time what the argument was about. A suspect fled in an unknown vehicle. Ingrid Tejada-Monforte, Public Information Office for OCSO says that the investigation is ongoing and the next-of-kin has been notified. "The Orange County Sheriff's Office Homicide Investigators are following up to determine what transpired prior to the shooting occurring in the parking lot as well as how many shooters were involved," said Tejada-Monforte.
