Daytona Beach Man Dies After Nova Road Motorcycle Accident

Daytona Beach, FL-A motorcyclist died of his injuries Monday after a collision involving his bike and a vehicle in Daytona Beach Monday morning. Police say the biker was going at a high rate of speed southbound on Nova Road around 7:16 AM approaching the intersection with Madison Avenue. A vehicle going north on Nova Road was turning left onto Madison. The biker went between two vehicles approaching the intersection and hit the turning vehicle. 30-year-old Dalphanite Johnson of Daytona Beach is the biker. He died of his injuries Monday afternoon at Halifax Hospital. The woman driving the vehicle he hit is identified as 26-year-old Tyasha Whitaker of New Smyrna Beach. She is being charged because she was driving on a suspended license. Police say no charges have been filed due to this investigation.
