Port Orange, FL-A Daytona Beach man is dead after a motorcycle accident in Port Orange on Sunday. Police there say that 61-year-old Robert Franklin Finzel was traveling north on City Center Pkwy about 5:45 P.M. when his motorcycle left the roadway for an unknown reason.
Finzel was thrown from the motorcycle and then it landed on top of him. He was pronounced dead at Halifax Hospital. Police say it does not appear that Finzel was wearing a helmet.
The crash is under investigation by the Port Orange Police Department Traffic Homicide Unit.
