Daytona Beach Library Hosts 'Medicare 101'

Daytona Beach, FL- Are you turning 65 within the next three months? SHINE counselor

Priscilla Davis will tell you everything you need to know about Medicare

at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, at the Daytona Beach Regional Library at

City Island, 105 E. Magnolia Ave., Daytona Beach.

She will explain what is covered under Medicare, how individual parts

differ from Medicare Advantage, and how to avoid potential financial

penalties if you opt in at a future date.

This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Daytona Beach Library.

SHINE stands for Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders. Its mission

is to provide free, unbiased health insurance counseling through a

network of volunteers, empowering Florida seniors to make informed

health care choices.

The library is open from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday

through Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
