Daytona Beach, FL - Condo sales were strong in the Daytona Beach area during the month of September, with a rise in sales and median sales prices.

The Wyse Home Team At Keller-Williams Realty says the number of condo sales in September rose slightly compared to the same month a year ago while median sales prices jumped up by more than 13%.

However, compared to the previous months, prices fell dramatically - though sales remained steady.

Inventory levels of condos on the marked went down by 5 percent, year over year.

In September 2016 131 condos/condotels were sold at a median sales price of $185,900. In September of last year, 124 units were sold at a median price of $163,500. In August of this year, 132 units were sold at a median sales price of $212,500.

So far this year 1,083 condos and condotels have been sold at a median sales price of $172,725 which is a slight improvement over the same period last year when 1,062 units were sold at a median price of $165,000.

“Looking ahead, it’s unclear how Hurricane Matthew’s brush upon our shorelines last week might impact condo sales figures in October and through the remainder of the year,” said Ron Wysocarski, CEO of The Wyse Home Team at Keller Williams Realty in Port Orange. “Right now, we’re focused on the safety of our buyers, sellers and staff, while working to assess and address any property damages our clients’ homes and condos may have sustained during the storm.”
