DeLeon Springs, FL – VCSO’s investigating after someone used a vehicle to smash through the doors of a Citgo in DeLeon Springs to get inside and burglarize the business.

A VCSO deputy was patrolling early Wednesday morning when they noticed the front doors of the Citgo station on N US-17 were missing. That was around 2:12 AM, but investigators think the break in probably happened about an hour before that.

The owner of the gas station took inventory and found the cash register and some lottery tickets were missing.

Initial estimates put the damage done to the store at $20,000.

VCSO’s investigating this break in and any possible connections to other recent burglaries in the area.
