Bunnell Woman Sentenced For Kidnapping Her Own Kids

Bunnell, FL- A 29-year-old Bunnell woman has pleaded guilty to lesser charges in the kidnapping of her own two children.  Sara Jones pleaded guilty to two lesser felony counts of interfering with the custody of a minor and was sentenced to four months in jail, five years’ probation and other restrictions. Jones took the 3 and 5-year-old children from their great-grandparents, the children's legal guardians, home on July 28th.  It was suspected that Jones had taken the children to Tennessee to be with their father, Phillip Bradley Steven McGraw.  The children were found with their other grandmother in Sweetwater, TN. Jones was arrested in Tennessee and extradited to Flagler County.  With her guilty plea come a number of conditions. As of today, she is in the Flagler County Jail serving her sentence.  Jones is required to carry out in-patient drug treatment.  She's also ordered to have a mental health evaluation and comply with the findings. Jones can only have contact with the two children according to the dependency court orders, and to refrain from drugs or alcohol. Her probation terms include random drug analysis.
