Bunnell On Boil Water Notice Due To Plant Shut Down

Bunnell, FL - For the second time in nearly three months, the entire city of Bunnell is under a boil water advisory.

An emergency water main repair forced the shutdown of a water treatment plant late last night (November 28th), according to a notice posted on the city's website.

That shutdown - which was done to replace a valve - took around four hours to do, with the water coming back on this morning.

City officials say the shutdown was timed for overnight since most people are sleeping then.

Because of the service interruption, the precautionary boil water notice will stay in place until at least tomorrow afternoon (November 30th), depending on the results of the water tests which need to be completed.

Service was interrupted in September after a traffic accident ruptured a fire hydrant, putting the city under a boil water notice for at least three days.
