BOLO For Possible Child Abductor In Edgewater

Edgewater, FL –¬†Edgewater Police are reporting that a man tried to pick up an 11-year-old girl on her way home from school on Tuesday (October 9th).

Police say that the child was riding her bicycle home from Indian River Elementary at about 2:15 p.m.

The girl said a white Chevy Traverse (pictured above) parked in the 2600 block of Travelers Palm Drive and a tall, slender white male exited the car. He approached her and asked if he could give her a ride. She told him no and he got back in his car and drove away eastbound on 26th street.

The man has brown hair and a brown beard with a freckle or distinguishing mark on his left cheek.

Edgewater Police are conducting extra patrols in the vicinity of both elementary schools in the city.
