Bethune-Cookman University Student Heads To NASA For Summer Internship

Daytona Beach, FL - Freshman Bethune-Cookman University computer science student Teandre Roberts was selected among 600 other students nationwide to participate in a highly coveted NASA internship program.

He will head to Kennedy Space Center this summer, where he will spend 10 consecutive weeks as a Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery Intern. As an intern for NASA, he will examine large databases to examine trends, patterns, and forecasts for the Center. "Being chosen as one of 600 people for the opportunity is a very satisfying feeling in furthering my experiences to help me reach my careers goals," said Roberts. He is passionate about astronomy, and his dream is to work in computer science, possibly with NASA, when he graduates. Roberts will also receive $6,000 in stipends to further his goals.
