Bethune-Cookman University Gears Up For Wildcat Day At The Capitol

Tallahassee, FL - Bethune-Cookman University (B-CU) is headed to Tallahassee for Wildcat Day at the Capitol (WDAC).

On March 22nd, hundreds of students, faculty, staff, and alumni will board buses to go to Florida's capitol to lobby for additional funding that will aid current and prospective students.

Joined by President Jackson and other university leaders, WDAC participants will get the chance to meet with lawmakers to discuss their concerns, share the successes of B-CU, and highlight the importance of Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune’s statue placement in Washington, D.C.

During WDAC, the university is also looking for support for Grants and Aid, Bridge to Success, Project CHILD, and other various resources.

Those who take part in WDAC will be addressed by President Jackson and the B-CU delegation in the House of Chambers at 10:00 AM. At 11:30 AM. a rally in the lobby of the Senate Chambers will follow.
