Daytona Beach, FL – With returning lifeguards and new recruits, County Beach Safety Ocean Rescue is well staffed for the upcoming summer season.
According to Captain Tammy Marris, a good number of people showed up for the final tryout before recruit classes began on Saturday. “We always want more,” said Marris, “but we did get a good number.”
According to Marris, Beach Safety has around 60 new recruits of various ages. She plans to have all the new recruits ready for action by Memorial Day weekend.
With the returning lifeguards and all the new recruits, Marris says things are looking “pretty good.”
