car-stuck-in-sand-wheel-spinning Daytona Beach, FL - County Beach Safety Officers arrested 2 men wanted for armed robbery in Iowa after their car got stuck in the sand on the beach. "Everyone comes to the beach, especially in Daytona," said Captain Tammy Marris. "It was a combination of luck and the officer just doing the right thing, you know, doing his job." Law enforcement officers in Iowa identifed 27-year-old Daniel Jackson and 20-year-old Jason Centeno, both of Yonkers, NY, as their suspects for the robbery at a Citizens State Bank in Hopkinton, Iowa on Friday, October 21. On Saturday the pair decided to take a drive on the beach in Daytona, but their sunny day at the beach didn't end well. Their car got stuck in the sand, and Beach Safety Officers always run a tag before helping people. When they ran the tag, they got a hit on Jackson and Centeno. Officers initiated a felony stop and the 2 were apprehended without incident. centeno_jason
