DeLand, FL - An Astor resident has claimed his $12 million Florida Lottery jackpot winnings.
George Collins, a resident of the Lake County community on the St. Johns River, took his winnings as a one-time lump-sum payment of $9,206,848.92.
Collins purchased his winning quick-pick ticket from the Murphy Express at 1691 N. Woodland Blvd. in DeLand. The store will receive a bonus commission of $60,000 for selling the jackpot winner.
Sales for this jackpot generated more than $10.5 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).
