tr2016-logo-trans Daytona Beach, FL - The 43rd annual Daytona Turkey Run kicks off on Thanksgiving day and runs through Sunday, November 27, and around 150,000 people are expected to attend. "It is the largest combined classic car show and swap meet in the United States," according to Jennifer Labonte, the Director of Marketing and Public Relations for the event. "Traditionally over the 4 days we welcome a little 150,00 people into the infield of the Speedway." That number includes local car enthusiasts, and people from across the country and the globe. The event features over 6,000 vintage classic cars, muscle cars, race cars, and trucks for show and sale. There's also over 2,500 swap meet spaces, an Artisan Alley, and plenty of food and entertainment. "Each year we try to make things a little different," said Labonte. "This year we've got some guest celebrities coming in case anybody would be interested in getting some autographs." Butch Patrick, who played Eddie Munster in The Munsters TV show, will be on site Thursday through Sunday. Courtney Hansen, automotive host, spokesperson, and TV personality will be there on Friday, Nov. 25, from 8 AM to 4 PM. And Black Beauty #2, the car featured in The Green Hornet, will also be at the speedway. Admission costs $15 on Thursday through Saturday and $10 on Sunday, and kids 11 and under get in for free. Throughout it's history the event has given more than $7 million to charities and local programs, projects, and recreational facilities.
