Volusia County, FL-The Volusia County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of 51-year-old Dean Robbins, an Apopka man walking in the southbound lanes of I-95, near MM 264, around 5:30 A.M.. Investigators say Robbins was walking in the outside lane, next to the white line, to get gas for his car.
Police say Robbins was walking to the exit when the front end of a 2009 Cadillac, driven by 39-year-old Rockil Macon of New Jersey. Robbins was pronounced dead at the scene.
No charges have been issued and alcohol is reportedly not a factor. VCSO is still investigating the accident.
