Deltona, FL - An Altamonte Springs man faces an attempted first-degree murder charge after detectives link him to a shooting in Deltona nearly two weeks ago.

41-year-old Charles F. Allen is also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to Volusia County Jail records. He was booked yesterday (October 9th) and is held without bond on both charges.

Volusia County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Andrew Gant says members of the U.S. Marshals Service and the Seminole County fugitive apprehension team helped in Allen's capture.

"He was identified by Volusia County sheriff’s detectives as the shooter who fired at Jason Randolph during an argument over stolen property," Gant added. "He was transferred from the Seminole County Jail to the Volusia County Branch Jail."

The 38-year-old Randolph was shot in the head on September 29th while he was in the garage of his home on Mayflower Avenue. He was airlifted to Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford for treatment.
