Daytona Beach, FL - Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB) saw an upward climb in airport passenger traffic of 4.2% in March, compared to the same month last year.

Officials with DAB say in March 2018, 72,957 passengers took flight in or out of the county-operated airport, compared to 70,023 passengers in March of 2017.

Passenger traffic is up for the year as well. For the 12 months ending March 31 of this year, total passenger traffic increased 2.4%. 724,765 passengers flew in or out of the facility during those 12 months, compared with 708,116 passengers the previous 12 months.

“March was a benchmark for the sustainable growth we target every month. Passengers, flights, capacity and load factors all increased over last year,” Airport Director Rick Karl explains. “It’s wonderful to see our local market respond to increases in flight activity and capacity. It truly displays the continued demand-growth for the friendly, stress-free experience we provide at Daytona Beach International Airport.”
