Palm Coast, FL - A man who is accused of molesting a 7-year-old child and sexually abusing her mother over 500 times is now in the hands of the Flagler County Sheriff's Office.

And that man is 52-year-old Leon Wiley Jr., who was arrested by deputies last week at a Palm Coast Wal-Mart.

FCSO first got wind of Wiley Jr. back on February 24th when deputies responded to a home in Palm Coast for a possible sex crime involving a child.

While investigating that incident, the child's mother told deputies that she had been sexually abused by Wiley Jr., from the time she was 12 up to February of 2019.

She said that they would have sex around three times a day and was victimized more than 500 times.

Investigators then got the clearance to monitor the texts and phone calls between Wiley Jr. and his victim.

On March 6th, the victim contacted FCSO, saying that Wiley Jr. wanted to meet with her and discuss the reports she had filed with law enforcement.

At their meeting, Wiley Jr. never denied having sex with her since the age of 12. Wiley Jr. also denied all allegations of him being sexually inapropriate with her daughter.

He also tried convincing her to drop the charges against him and move in with him at his apartment in Daytona Beach.

Another controlled meeting was held between the two which yielded almost the same results. Wiley Jr. did not deny having sex with the mother when she was 12, he denied he touched her daughter and he again asked to have the charges dropped and that she move in with him.

After the controlled meetings, Wiley Jr. continued to reach out to the mother through text messaging and Facebook Messenger, saying that he would pay her large sums of money if he didn't go to jail.

Come April 4th, FCSO's Major Case Unit secured an arrest warrant for Wiley Jr. He was arrested that same day at a Palm Coast Wal-Mart.

“This is still an ongoing investigation but our detectives were able to obtain significant and strong evidence against him,” Sheriff Rick Staly said. “I hope the judge throws the book at him and he spends a long time in prison thinking about his actions and what he has done to these children."

Wiley Jr. has been booked into Flagler County Jail, where he is being held without bond.

He's currently charged with two counts of sexual battery, including one against a person under 12-years-old, and tampering with evidence.

Other charges are still pending.
