Fatal Wreck In Flagler County Leaves 5 Dead

Flagler County, FL - A crash involving 3 vehicles took the lives of 5 people in Flagler County on Sunday morning.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 2008 Mazda Tribute was traveling westbound on Old Dixie Highway, Feb. 5 at 11:25 AM. The driver attempted to turn left to travel southbound on US 1 within the left turn lane and turned into the path of a northbound 2000 Ford F-250, driven by Christopher Rose, 34, Bunnell.

The front of the Ford collided with the driver’s side of the Mazda. As a result of the initial collision, the Mazda and the Ford traveled in a northwest direction, causing the front of a 2016 Toyota Camry, driven by Louis Krombholz, 72, Ormond Beach, to be struck by both the Mazda and the Ford.

The 5 occupants of the Mazda sustained fatal injuries. Names are not being released pending notification of family members. All were from South Florida.

Passengers in the Ford were Jessica Walker, 22, and a 4-year-old girl, Bunnell.

US 1 remained closed in both directions until approximately 4 PM.
