Daytona Beach, FL - For the fifth time since March, the Daytona Beach Police Department runs another undercover prostitution sting. The latest took place this past Saturday afternoon and night along the U.S. 1 corridor, resulting in the arrest of seven women on solicitation charges. The operation featured undercover officers posing as customers driving in unmarked vehicles, according to the arrest reports. Five of the arrested also face drug-related charges after officers found drugs or drug-related paraphernalia on their person while arresting them for solicitation. One of those women - 34-year-old Ashley A. Kanarvogel of Daytona Beach - has an additional charge of violating her probation on a felony conviction for trafficking in stolen property. Kanarvogel also tried to hide two plastic syringes underneath the passenger seat of the undercover officer's vehicle while being arrested for solicitation, per her arrest report.
