Rolex 24’s 55th Running Set To Go; Plenty To Do In Addition To Races

Daytona Beach, FL – The 55th running of the Rolex 24 is set to go, and there’s plenty for fans to do.

The long weekend event kicks off with practice sessions, which start at 9 AM on Thursday. Qualifying also runs on Thursday, from 3:10 to 4:40 PM, and from 5:30 to 6 for Friday’s 4-hour BMW Endurance Challenge, which is the 1st race of 2017 for the production-based Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge.

The 55th running of the Rolex 24 is scheduled to begin at 2:30 PM on Saturday at the Daytona International Speedway. 55 cars from across 4 classes have will be racing on the 3.56-mile road course.

The Rolex 24 offers several other options in addition to the races. This year will also feature the 2017 Rolex 24 Heritage Exhibition, Taste of the 24, a driver autograph Session, pre-race ceremonies, the annual Wine & Cheese Party, live music and karaoke, and a boardwalk experience.
