Edgewater, FL-Emergency and HAZMAT crews were busy in Edgewater on Friday. A vehicle fire involving a pressure washing trailer required a cleanup.

It was reported that the trailer was fully engulfed in flames. The trailer was in the street and so did not threaten any homes or businesses. The fire was extinguished quickly but the trailer contained several containers of pressure washing chemicals.

VCSO HAZMAT team members responded to a request to neutralize the chemicals and pack them for removal. No chemicals were released into the ground or waterways.

Residents in some homes in the immediate area were asked to shelter in place as an extra precaution. No injuries have been reported.
