3 Injured After Sprint Car Flipped Over Fence At Volusia Speedway Park

Barberville, FL – Three people were rushed to the hospital on Sunday night when after sprint car flipped over the fence at Volusia Speedway Park.

Dale Blaney’s World of Outlaws car went over the fence and landed in an area near the pits where a few people were standing and watching. Two of the three injured were trauma alerts, and one was taken by helicopter to Halifax Health Medical Center.

The race was stopped for about 80 minutes. This was the 2nd time in the span of 4 nights that a sprint car went over the fence at the Speedway Park – no one was hurt during the previous incident on Wednesday.
