Deltona, FL - Three students from Heritage Middle School in Deltona were arrested on Monday for trespassing on school property, vandalizing the school, and shutting off an electrical breaker, causing $1,481.98 in cafeteria food to go bad. According to the Volusia County Sheriff's Office, the three 14-year-old male students jumped a fence at the back of Heritage Middle School, located at 1001 Parnell Ct., at around 11:20 AM on Sunday. According to arrest reports, the three boys got into the school through an unlocked door to the gymnasium. At one point, at least one of the boys took a fire extinguisher from the wall of the gym and sprayed the contents of the fire extinguisher inside one of the locker rooms. School officials discovered the vandalism on Monday morning, and the school principal told a school resource deputy that she had heard rumors of the teens posting pictures on Instagram of the incident. The boys were also caught on the school's surveillance cameras, according to arrest reports.
