3 Clerks Charged In Sting For Selling Alcohol To 19-Year-Old Undercover Agent

Deltona, FL – An undercover sting in Deltona targeting sales of alcohol to underage customers has resulted in 3 clerks being charged.

The undercover operation targeted 10 different convenience stores in Deltona. At 3 of those businesses, a 19-year-old undercover agent showed the clerk her ID, but they sold her alcohol anyways.

A misdemeanor criminal charge of selling alcohol to a person under the age of 21 was filed against all 3 of these clerks. They were all released on scene after being issued a notice to appear in court. The 7 other stores were all in compliance.

The 3 clerks and where they worked are:

  • 38-year-old Kelly Csernai, Bottle Stop II, 1411 Howland Blvd
  • 44-year-old Jennifer Parsons, Kangaroo Express, 1380 Howland Blvd
  • 43-year-old Joann Smith, Kangaroo Express, 2798 Elkcam Blvd
