Orange City, FL - Two women in Orange City were arrested on Wednesday for trying to rob a Regions Bank with a paintball gun. Orange City police say that 41-year-old Tanya Morrison and 35-year-old Tiffany Ann Fleming, walked into the Regions Bank located at 2626 Enterprise Rd. in Orange City at around 11:07 AM on Wednesday. Fleming asked to speak with the assistant manager, and while she spoke with the assistant manager, she displayed what appeared to be the barrel of a gun and asked for money. Morrison stayed in the lobby and acted as a lookout. There were no other customers in the bank at the time of the robbery, and the silent alarm was activated. Orange City police, with the help of Volusia County deputies, surrounded the bank and caught Morrison and Fleming as they tried to leave the bank through the front door. Orange City police say that a black paintball gun was found in Fleming's purse. The women did not receive any money, and no one was injured in the incident. The two women were taken to Orange City Police Department for processing and then transported to the Volusia County Jail.
