2 Teens Arrested After Trying To Steal 12-Year-Old's Bike At Knife-Point

Edgewater, FL - Police in Edgewater arrested an 18-year-old and a 16-year-old on Friday for allegedly trying to take a 12-year-old's bike at knife-point.

The 12-year-old fled the area and contacted police, who got to the intersection of 30th St and Sabal Palm Dr around 2:22 PM on December 2. 18-year-old Corey I. Cotton, of Edgewater, and a 16-year-old juvenile were arrested at the intersection of 30th St and Juniper Dr.

The 16-year-old was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon - a fixed blade knife in this case, according to police. Cotton was arrested and charged with attempted armed robbery. He was transported to the Volusia County Jail.

The 12-year-old victim wasn't hurt.
