2 Suspects, 15 & 18, Wanted For Murder In Oklahoma, Caught In Daytona

Daytona Beach, FL - The Daytona Beach Police Department (DBPD) helped catch two people, ages 15 and 18, that were wanted for a murder out of Oklahoma. On Wednesday, DBPD received a call from the Creek County Sheriff's Office in Oklahoma saying that two suspects that were involved in a homicide investigation in Oklahoma were believed to be in Daytona Beach. One of the suspects is 18-year-old Robert Firethunder, and the other was a 15-year-old girl, according to a release put out by DBPD. The two were believed to be meeting with a woman who lives on Segrave St. in Daytona Beach in order to obtain some money. Investigators told DBPD that the two suspects were thought to be driving a Chevy pickup truck with an unknown tag, and DBPD teams began surveillance of the address on Segrave St. A pickup truck with an Oklahoma tag pulled up to the residence. A check of the tag showed that the truck belonged to Kimberly Firethunder, one suspect's aunt. According to DBPD, a female came out of the home, got into the truck, and drove away. Investigators tried to stop the truck, but the driver sped away. After a short pursuit, officials were able to stop the truck and arrest the woman who was driving. The driver was determined to be the 15-year-old suspect. She is facing local fleeing an eluding charges as well as charges related to the Oklahoma homicide. A SWAT team then responded to the home on Segrave St. when Robert Firethunder showed up in another vehicle, according to DBPD. He was arrested on unrelated felony warrants and also faces charges from the Creek County Sheriff's Office in Oklahoma.
