Daytona Beach, FL - Two men, co-workers who were fired from their jobs in Daytona Beach, were arrested Wednesday after they beat up an employee that reported them and beat up another employee who was trying to help. 26-year-old Peter Soto and 43-year-old Jeremie Jordan were fired from their jobs for not being at their work stations when they were supposed to be, according to the Daytona Beach Police Department (DBPD). The two men blamed employee James Scofield for their termination. A google search of the business address gives the business name as Braun Medical. The two men's job descriptions have not been released. According to police reports, Jordan pushed Scofield to the ground and began smashing his head into the ground while Soto kicked Scofield. Scofield blacked out for a period of time and suffered bruising to his head, and blood was flowing from his left ear. Another witness, employee Christopher Hunter, tried to pull the men off of Scofield, but the two men turned on him, kicking him, punching him, and giving him a lump to the head. Soto and Jordan tried to leave the business, but security would not open the gate until police arrived, according to DBPD. Police were dispatched to the business at around 1:28 PM on Wednesday. Scofield was treated on site for his injuries and then took himself to a medical facility. Soto and Jordan are charged with aggravated battery causing bodily harm.
