19-Year-Old Daytona Man Sentenced To 30 Years In Prison

Daytona Beach, FL-Sentencing for a 19-year-old Daytona man convicted on two felony charges, attempted carjacking and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, took place today. Deandrew Hughley, of Fulton Street, is headed to a state prison facility for 30 years.

Hughley was convicted by a Volusia County Jury after only 30 minutes of deliberations in March. Prosecutors successfully had Hughley sentenced as a Prison Releasee Reoffender.

Hughley’s criminal history includes 6 prior felony convictions, including 1 carjacking and 4 burglaries.

Hughley was remanded into custody pending sentencing.
