Holly Hill, FL – According to the Holly Hill Police Department, a 12-year-old fled 2 men who followed him in a car and suspiciously approached him by pretending to go into a nearby house.

On Tuesday at about 3:45 PM, a police officer responded to the intersection of Ridge Blvd. and Granada Street where the suspicious event occurred involving the juvenile.

The 12-year-old says that 2 men were following him in an old, red Honda while he was biking home. The boy was scared, so he got off of his bicycle and walked towards a nearby home, pretending it was his house.

The driver, a 40-year-old black male with a beard, and the passenger, a 30-year-old white male with medium-length brown hair, pulled into the driveway and asked if the boy wanted money or candy, and to approach the vehicle if he did.

The boy told the men ‘no’ and began to walk closer to the house. At this point, the boy said the men became nervous and quickly drove off.

Police checked the area but did not find the suspects.
